I was kindly asked to illustrate a written piece about the pioneering Manchester born swimmer Sunny Lowry for the Manchester fanzine The Shrieking Violet. Big thanks go to Jacky for her wonderful words and for allowing me to do whatever I wanted when it came to the page layout and images.

Life Is a Dream

'Rosaura. High on a mountainside in Poland, dressed in a man's traveling clothes.
Having been thrown from her horse, she descends while addressing the runaway animal.'
Inspired by the opening scene from Pedro Calderon's 'Life Is a Dream'. Due to the weather in recent weeks I wanted to play with the idea of snow falling.
